Task template
Hire people to record short videos and product clips
Post a short video task when you need real footage of a real person or place: a bright product clip filmed on a phone, a batch of vertical reaction clips, or a long recording cut into short clips.
- Worker payout
- Workers receive the listed payout.
- Employer fee
- A 1% platform fee plus a fixed 3% processing charge where checkout is configured.
- Before you pay
- Draft the task first. You are charged when you hire or order, not when you open a draft.
Small video tasks people post
Small businesses and creators often need a few seconds of real footage more than a polished production: a clothing rack in good light, hands using a product, or a person reacting to a clip without speaking. Phones record this well if the brief is specific.
Write a shot list: what is in frame, how long each clip runs, vertical or horizontal, lighting, and what must not appear. If you want clips edited, say whether the worker should add captions, music, or cuts, or just send the raw files.
Example tasks you can post
Each example opens an editable draft with a title, scope, category, and skills. Opening it does not publish a job or charge a card. Set your payout and deadline before posting.
Connector framing: GoHireHumans helps employers post tasks and connect with workers. Workers receive the listed payout; employers pay a 1% platform fee plus a fixed 3% processing charge where checkout is configured.
Suggested payout ranges
Starting points. Pay more for shipped products, on-camera appearances, editing, or a short deadline.
| Range | Scope |
|---|---|
| $3–$10 per clip | Simple phone clip from a shot list, raw file |
| $25–$60 | Batch of about ten raw clips or a few edited clips |
| $60–$200+ | Edited clips from long recordings, on-camera talking, or product shipping and return |
How to write a shot list
- Shots: what is in frame, each clip's length, and vertical or horizontal.
- Look: lighting, background, clothing, and anything that must not appear, such as faces, logos, or addresses.
- Files: raw files or edited MP4s, resolution, and whether captions or music are included.
- Use: where you will post the clips and for how long, so the payout covers it.
Rules for this kind of task
- Do not post tasks for fake reviews or fake customer testimonials; the FTC's rule bans them.
- If a clip shows a paid creator promoting your product, disclose the paid relationship when you post it.
- Get consent from anyone who appears on camera, and do not ask workers to film people or private places without permission.
- Agree usage rights before hiring; footage for one post is not automatically licensed for paid ads.
How hiring works on GoHireHumans
Post a scoped task
Describe one fixed-price deliverable, set the listed payout, and review your draft before publishing. Posting is free.
Review applicants
Workers must finish Stripe payout setup before they can apply to jobs. Compare samples, their proposed approach, and timeline. Payout setup is a payment prerequisite, not a skills assessment. You do not have to hire an applicant.
Hire with a saved card
Confirm the worker, scope, and price. Your saved card is charged when you hire, including the employer fees, where checkout is configured. If hiring is paused or checkout is unavailable, do not arrange payment outside GoHireHumans.
Review delivery
The worker submits files through the order. Check them against your brief and request a revision if the agreed scope is not met.
Approve the work
When you approve the work, the worker payout is released through the configured Stripe workflow. Bank arrival depends on the payout account and processor. Read the payment and dispute rules before hiring.
Common questions
How much does a short product video cost?
GoHireHumans has no fixed rate for short videos; you set the payout. Simple phone clips from a shot list are often offered at a few dollars per clip, with more for editing, shipped products, or on-camera talking.
Can I ask for vertical videos for TikTok, Reels, or Shorts?
Yes. On GoHireHumans you can ask for vertical video in the brief, along with the length, resolution, and whether you want raw files or edited clips.
Can I hire people to make testimonial videos?
Only honest ones. GoHireHumans tasks must not ask for fake reviews or testimonials presented as independent customers. If you post a paid creator's clip, disclose the paid relationship.
Who owns the footage?
On GoHireHumans, usage rights are whatever you and the worker agree in the task. Write where you will post the clips and for how long so the payout covers it.
Do I need to ship a product?
Only if the clip needs it. On GoHireHumans you agree shipping and return details with the worker you hire; do not ask applicants to buy your product with their own money.
