GoHireHumans was built in 2026 for the modern freelance economy. Lower infrastructure costs, no legacy SaaS bloat, and a leaner ops model mean we can take 4% and still run a healthy business. Our bet is that volume + great UX outperforms 25.5% rents.
Is this calculator accurate for hourly work?
It models the platform's percentage take, which applies the same way to fixed and hourly. It does NOT model Upwork's time-tracking screenshots, Fiverr's milestone holds, or other operational differences — only the cash math.
What about Connects, plan tiers, and small-order fees?
The calculator uses standard public rates. It doesn't model Upwork Connects ($0.15 each), Fiverr's $3 small-order fee on transactions under $100, or Toptal's account manager percentages. Real-world fees on those platforms are often slightly higher than what this shows.
